Emotions ran high Friday in Washington as nearly 666 people crowded to listen to store owner
Irving Bernard Meddling give his testimony before the House Committee on Un-American
Activities in Washington, D.C., June 6th,2006 . The group is conducting an investigation of
Communist activities in the cities shopping industry.

"I was Meddling in my competitors stores and what i witnessed was appalling, discounts to
everyone, equally, clear across the board. They didn't ask a single soul to sign up! That is just
pure equalism."

"How can they run a business in that manner? They can't keep tabs of their customers, their
unable to profile them or place them into any class category. They don't even care where they
live. I mean, why don't they just let their customers run through the store naked? Anarchy, I tell
you, it's just pure good old fashion communism!"
